Chiniot Police ensure peaceful Eid, DPO announces rewards for personnel

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif said that Chiniot Police successfully ensured peace and order throughout the three days of Eid-ul-Adha, with no major untoward incident reported across the district.

Talking to media representatives on Saturday, the DPO said police officers and personnel remained on duty throughout the Eid holidays, sacrificing personal celebrations to protect lives and property, maintain law and order, and ensure smooth traffic flow. He expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the peaceful conduct of Eid festivities, attributing the success to effective coordination between the police and district administration.

Dr. Naveed Atif appreciated the support and cooperation of members of the Peace Committee, traders, lawyers, journalists, civil society representatives and the general public, saying their collective efforts played a vital role in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere during the religious festival.

The DPO also commended the dedication and professionalism of police officers and personnel who performed their duties during Eid-ul-Adha. In recognition of their services, he announced rewards for all officers and officials who actively participated in security and traffic management arrangements during the holidays.
