Chiniot Police finalize Muharram security plan, DPO reviews procession routes

District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Naveed Atif on Tuesday visited key routes of the main Muharram-ul-Haram processions in Rewa Sadat to review security arrangements and ensure foolproof safety measures for the upcoming religious gatherings

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Naveed Atif on Tuesday visited key routes of the main Muharram-ul-Haram processions in Rewa Sadat to review security arrangements and ensure foolproof safety measures for the upcoming religious gatherings.

During the visit, DSP Circle City Muhammad Shoaib Khan and other police officials accompanied the DPO. He inspected Imambargahs and reviewed arrangements related to security, crowd management and facilitation of mourners.

The DPO also met procession organizers and discussed detailed security planning, identifying sensitive points along the routes and issuing necessary instructions to strengthen vigilance and coordination among security teams.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Naveed Atif said that all available resources would be utilized to ensure effective arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram. He added that strict security measures would be implemented at all gatherings and processions to safeguard participants and maintain law and order.
