Chiniot police hold forensic training workshop to strengthen investigations

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) On the directives of Abdul Karim, practical steps are being taken to enhance the professional capacity of police personnel, as Chiniot Police on Tuesday organized a specialized training workshop for investigation officers at the DPO office. The session was conducted on the instructions of District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif, aiming to improve investigative standards across the district.

Moreover, Forensic Officer Muhammad Kashif delivered a comprehensive and insightful briefing on modern investigative techniques, including crime scene investigation, death scene analysis, computer forensics, and DNA forensics. The forensic team effectively used multimedia tools, therefore enabling officers to better understand evidence collection and sample preparation.

Meanwhile, participants were carefully guided on the role of first responders, while existing shortcomings in procedures were clearly identified and addressed. Officers were instructed on preserving evidence in a systematic and scientific manner, however emphasis was also placed on avoiding common investigative errors.

Furthermore, officials announced that such workshops will be held regularly in the future, consequently ensuring continuous improvement in investigative capabilities. Authorities reaffirmed that all available resources will be utilized to guarantee transparent and effective investigations, leading to the timely arrest and prosecution of criminals.
