Chiniot police return stolen mobile phones to owners under “Safe Punjab” initiative

Under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for a safer Punjab, police in Chiniot have successfully recovered mobile phones worth millions of rupees that were lost or stolen and returned them to their rightful owners

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for a safer Punjab, police in Chiniot have successfully recovered mobile phones worth millions of rupees that were lost or stolen and returned them to their rightful owners.

A ceremony was held on Tuesday at the District Police Officer (DPO) Office where DPO Dr. Naveed Atif personally handed over more than 20 recovered mobile phones of various brands to the citizens. The recipients expressed gratitude and appreciated the police efforts, offering prayers for their success.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Naveed Atif said that modern technology is being effectively utilized to trace and recover lost mobile phones. He emphasized that all possible steps are being taken to protect the lives and property of citizens across the district.

He further urged the public to promptly contact Police Helpline 15 or the nearest police station in case of any emergency, reaffirming the police commitment to timely assistance and public safety.
