Christian community lauds security arrangements on Easter

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) The Christian community in Rawalpindi and Islamabad has expressed gratitude to the district administration and police for ensuring foolproof security arrangements during the Easter festival.

According to community representatives, the peaceful environment enabled worshippers to perform religious rituals without fear.

Special representative of Archbishop Dr Joseph Arshad and in-charge of Holy Family Catholic Church, Babu Sajid Ameen Khokhar, said that Easter is a sacred and joyous occasion for the Christian community, and the effective security measures played a vital role in facilitating smooth observance of religious activities.

He highlighted that such steps promote interfaith harmony and brotherhood, adding that the community appreciates the efforts of the government and law enforcement agencies.

He also urged the authorities to continue similar comprehensive security arrangements during future religious events to ensure that citizens can perform their religious obligations without any concerns.
