RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) The Punjab government has introduced a modern online service to facilitate the prompt registration and resolution of consumer complaints, enabling citizens to lodge grievances from the comfort of their homes.
According to the District Consumer Protection Council (DCPC), citizens can now download a free mobile application to report various types of violations related to consumer rights.
These violations include non-display of price lists, absence of manufacturing and expiry dates on products, failure to issue receipts at the time of purchase, and lack of clear return or exchange policies.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to ensure the protection of consumer rights and promote transparency in the marketplace, thereby guarantee the provision of quality goods to citizens.
The public has also been advised to adopt precautionary measures while shopping, including checking manufacturing and expiry dates, reviewing ingredient details on packaging and immediately reporting any irregularities through the relevant consumer protection council or the mobile application instead of remaining silent.
