City road, Kutchery bazaar beautification projects gain momentum

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Beautification and rehabilitation work on City Road and Kutchery Bazaar is progressing rapidly in Sargodha under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s City Beautification Program, with authorities aiming to complete the projects before Eid-ul-Azha.

A review meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Hussein Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, was held to assess progress on the ongoing development works here on Monday.

Officials from the relevant departments briefed the meeting on the status of various components of the project.

The meeting was informed that FESCO installations along City Road have been removed and shifted underground, while the Highways Department has initiated carpeting and repair work on the road. Beautification activities are also continuing at a fast pace on City Road.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed FESCO, the Highways Department, and other concerned agencies to further accelerate the pace of work and ensure completion of the project before Eid-ul-Azha.
