Clean up operation intensifies in Sargodha

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) A cleanliness operation continued in the division during Eid-ul-Azha to ensure timely disposal

of animal waste and maintain a clean environment for citizens.

In this regard, Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali and Deputy Commissioner Hussain Raza Chaudhry

on Thursday visited the control room of the Suthra Punjab Authority (SPA), where they reviewed ongoing cleanliness operations and performance monitoring mechanisms.

According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner's office here, during the visit, they extended Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the IT staff and other employees performing duties in the control room.

During the visit, Chief Executive Officer of Suthra Punjab Authority Rana Muhammad Abu Bakar briefed the officials that against the first-day target of disposing of 9,935 tons of animal waste across Sargodha Division, authorities successfully collected and buried 11,335 tons. "For the second day of Eid operations, a target of 7,875 tons has been set", he added.

The commissioner directed officials to maintain strict monitoring of timely disposal of offal and ensure that no public complaints were received regarding sanitation arrangements.
