CM Balochistan pays tribute to Imam Hussain, calls for unity and peace on Youm-e-Ashura

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti paid glowing tribute to the supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his loyal companions, describing the tragedy of Karbala as an eternal message of truth, justice, patience, and steadfastness that will continue to guide humanity forever.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that Imam Hussain (RA) upheld the supremacy of islam and the cause of justice by displaying unparalleled courage and resilience against tyranny and oppression.

“The incident of Karbala teaches us to never bow before falsehood and to cultivate the courage to sacrifice everything for the sake of truth and justice,” he emphasized.

Sarfraz Bugti highlighted that Youm-e-Ashura is a day of unity, brotherhood, tolerance, and mutual respect, urging people to renew their commitment to promoting peace, harmony, fraternity, and the rule of law in society.

He assured that the provincial government has made comprehensive arrangements for maintaining law and order and for facilitating mourners during Muharram, particularly on Ashura. Law enforcement agencies, district administrations, and relevant departments are performing their duties diligently to ensure the safety of lives and property and the peaceful conduct of processions and gatherings.

The Chief Minister appreciated the cooperation of religious scholars, zakireen, organizers of majalis and processions, and the general public, noting that collective harmony and national unity are essential for strengthening peace and stability.

Sarfraz Bugti prayed that Allah Almighty bless Pakistan with peace, progress, and prosperity through the blessings of Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala, and grant the nation the strength to walk on the path of truth and justice.
