GWADAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has called on the province’s youth to stand firm against negative propaganda on social media, stressing that they are patriotic and represent the future of Pakistan.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the National Youth Summit in Gwadar, he emphasized that criticism should be constructive and aimed at reform rather than mere opposition.
Sarfraz Bugti assured participants that the government is committed to restoring young people’s trust in the state by listening to their grievances and addressing their concerns. “We are accountable to our youth, and the Constitution of Pakistan binds us to this responsibility,” he said.
Highlighting governance priorities, the CM underscored that good governance, merit, and transparency are essential for eliminating terrorism and ensuring sustainable peace.
He noted that all government recruitments are being conducted strictly on merit, with no tolerance for corruption or irregularities. He cited recent disciplinary action against education officials in Turbat and measures to ensure transparency in the Balochistan Police and other departments.
Sarfraz Bugti also pointed to reforms in resource management, including eliminating unnecessary expenses such as fuel allocations for outdated government vehicles, to ensure efficient use of public funds.
He highlighted that all government schools in Gwadar are now functional, making the district a model for the province. CM Sarfraz Bugti also warned that some elements are attempting to mislead youth through social media, but the government is countering this with awareness campaigns and positive initiatives.
