CM expresses concern on water shortage in Sui, directs to ensure supply of clean water to people

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday expressed concern over the water shortage in Sui city and directed to ensure the supply of clean drinking water on a priority basis at all costs.

He said this while presiding over a progress review meeting on the Sui Master Plan in which a detailed review of the implementation of ongoing development projects was taken.

The meeting approved important measures for the protection of the urban population and environmental improvement. It was decided to shift the flaring stack away from the urban population and directed the relevant authorities to further accelerate the pace of its implementation.

The Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that uninterrupted supply of water should be ensured to every citizen during the summer and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.

He also directed the Civil Administration and Public Health Engineering Department to take immediate and effective steps through mutual communication.

The CM stressed on further accelerating the pace of implementation of the Sui Master Plan and completing all projects within the stipulated time.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti directed that the provision of basic facilities to the citizens should be ensured as soon as possible so that public problems could be resolved on a permanent basis.
