CM felicitates newly-elected CPNE leadership

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has extended her congratulations to the newly-elected President of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors, Kazim Khan, and other office-bearers.

In her message, the chief minister also conveyed her best wishes to Senior Vice President Ayaz Khan, Vice President Shakeel Ahmed Turabi, Secretary General Ghulam Nabi Chandio, and other members.

She expressed the hope that the newly elected CPNE office-bearers would play an effective role in promoting free and responsible journalistic values.

The chief minister further stated that she expects the CPNE leadership to play a meaningful role in safeguarding national interests.
