CM hails armed forces’ professionalism in Marka-e-Haq

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has paid glowing tribute to the people of Pakistan, the government and the armed forces on completion of one year of “Marka-e-Haq”, describing it as a defining moment of national unity and strength.

In a statement on Saturday, she saluted the heroes of Marka-e-Haq and commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Air Marshal Babar Zaheer and Admiral Naveed Ashraf for their leadership during the operation.

The CM said the success of Marka-e-Haq would remain a memorable chapter in the country’s history and had reinforced Pakistan’s image as a strong and sovereign state. She said the operation demonstrated that Pakistan was a peace-loving country but fully capable of defending its sovereignty whenever challenged.

CM Maryam Nawaz said the world had witnessed the unity of the Pakistani nation and its armed forces during Marka-e-Haq, adding that the collective resolve of the people and military reflected the spirit of “Bunyan-um-Marsoos”.

She said celebrations marking the success of Marka-e-Haq were being held across Punjab, with people from all walks of life, including students, teachers, traders, lawyers, politicians and farmers, expressing solidarity with the armed forces.

The chief minister also praised the professionalism and combat capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces, saying that the country’s Shaheens had proved their superiority through exceptional operational skills and determination.
