CM’s Adviser meets delegation,discusses AI-based livestock reforms

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) Adviser to the Chief Minister Punjab on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives Ali Dar said that the provincial government was considering adopting successful “White Revolution” models to strengthen the livestock and dairy sector through modern and technology-driven interventions.

He made these remarks during a meeting with a high-level delegation led by Nestlé Pakistan Chairman Syed Yawar Ali on Monday.

The delegation also included Chairman Punjab Cattle Market Ibrahim Tariq Shafi, CEO Fauji Foods and Chairman Pakistan Dairy Association Usman Zaheer,along with other senior stakeholders.

The delegation also visited the Office of Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives and was briefed on initiatives undertaken over the past decade.

Speaking on the occasion,Ali Dar said that the Punjab government was keen to introduce internationally tested practices to enhance livestock productivity,efficiency and sectoral competitiveness.

He said Chief Minister Punjab’s vision prioritized comprehensive support for initiatives aimed at modernizing agriculture and allied sectors.

He stressed that artificial intelligence and emerging technologies could play a vital role in transforming the livestock sector, particularly in improving animal health management, productivity monitoring and supply chain efficiency.

Ali Dar further said consensus had been reached on promoting public-private partnerships to directly benefit farmers and livestock owners.

He added that the initiative would be taken forward on a priority basis under the Chief Minister’s Special Initiatives Program to ensure sustainable growth,innovation and sectoral uplift.
