capabilities, operational framework and future roadmap, with a special focus on expanding

the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in public safety and governance.

During his visit, PSCA Managing Director Muhammad Ahsan Younas briefed the advisor

on the authority’s existing infrastructure, ongoing operations and future strategic plans.

The meeting also discussed measures to strengthen and accelerate the integration of

AI into PSCA’s operational systems.

Speaking on the occasion, Ali Dar said that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the province was being transformed into a hub of Artificial Intelligence

and modern technology. He said building a strong AI foundation was essential for ensuring

secure, efficient and modern governance.

He said the use of AI, data analytics and advanced technologies by the Punjab Safe Cities

Authority was playing a significant role in enhancing public safety and improving service

delivery.

He added that data-driven policymaking could further strengthen decision-making

processes and improve the quality of public services.

The advisor said the operational Safe Cities network spread across 43 cities had emerged

as a successful model of technology-enabled governance in Punjab. He termed the authority’s

modern infrastructure and future roadmap a reflection of the government’s commitment to

building a safer and smarter Punjab.

Ali Dar appreciated key citizen-centric initiatives launched by the authority, including the

Virtual Women Police Station, Virtual Center for Child Safety, Blood Bank platform and

Emergency 15 system, describing them as important measures for improving public safety

and convenience.

He said AI was being utilized to make law enforcement, citizen services and government

operations more effective and responsive. He added that practical steps were being taken

to establish Punjab as a leading regional hub for Artificial Intelligence and technology,

ultimately providing citizens with a safer environment, faster services and improved

governance through modern technological solutions.
