CM's aide warns action against negligence, dereliction of duties

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan directed officials to ensure timely completion of all development projects and warned strict action against those involved in dereliction of duties.

He was chairing a meeting here Friday that was also attended by the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir and officials from various departments. The meeting reviewed proposed, ongoing and new development projects and steps taken to improve departmental performance.

He said that officers showing poor performance or negligence would face action and those hindering public service delivery would be held accountable. He stressed the need for improved coordination among the departments to ensure swift resolution of public issues.

He also expressed displeasure over slow progress on certain projects and directed the authorities to expedite work on pending schemes ensuring transparency at all levels.
