Collision on Arif Wala Road claims five lives

BUREWALA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) A horrific collision between a passenger bus and a coaster on Arif Wala Road near Adda Fitna has left five people dead and more than 20 injured, authorities reported. Four of the injured are in critical condition.

According to details, the passenger bus traveling from Burewala to Sahiwal collided head-on with an oncoming coaster. The impact was devastating, resulting in the immediate death of five coaster passengers. The victims were identified as Saeed, resident of 50/WB; Zain Tanveer, resident of 253/EB, Tufail Abad; Hunras Masih, resident of 187/EB; and the coaster driver, Muhammad Ashiq.

The injured were promptly transported to the hospital, where medical staff confirmed that four of them are in critical condition. Reports indicate that the coaster passengers were on their way home to celebrate Eid.

Meanwhile, the bus driver fled the scene immediately after the crash. Police reached the site promptly and have launched an investigation into the accident.

Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution, especially during the festive season, to prevent further tragedies on the roads.
