MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Mar, 2026) Commissioner Aamir Karim Khan conducted a detailed visit of the Multan–Vehari Road and reviewed the progress of ongoing development work.

During the visit, officials from the Highways Department, including the Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineer, briefed the commissioner on the pace and scope of the project.

Expressing concern over delays, the commissioner directed authorities to expedite the remaining construction work and ensure timely completion so that the public can benefit without further inconvenience. He stressed that no compromise would be made on construction quality and that strict monitoring must be ensured throughout the process.

He also instructed that special attention be given to the beautification of the road in densely populated areas.

Landscaping, tree plantation in green belts, and aesthetically pleasing designs were emphasized to improve the overall urban environment.

Highlighting the importance of infrastructure resilience, Aamir Karim Khan ordered the construction of proper drainage channels in line with engineering standards to ensure smooth disposal of rainwater and prevent urban flooding.

Furthermore, he directed the installation of modern bus shelters along the route to provide improved travel facilities for commuters and reiterated that all development projects must be completed within stipulated timelines.

During the inspection, the commissioner personally supervised a straight-edge test to assess road smoothness and quality, directing officials to maintain a balance between durability and visual appeal in all development works.
