Commissioner attends funeral of martyred Lt Col Khalid Hussain

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Wednesday attended the funeral prayers of Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain, who was martyred while fighting militants in Balochistan.

According to a spokesperson for the Commissioner’s office, a large number of civil and military officials, local dignitaries, and citizens attended the funeral prayers to pay tribute to the deceased officer.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner paid tribute to Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain, stating that he laid down his life in the line of duty for the security and defence of the country, demonstrating courage, professionalism, and commitment.

He said the nation acknowledges the sacrifices made by its security personnel in the fight against militancy.

The Commissioner also expressed condolences with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul and for strength and patience for the family to bear the loss.
