Commissioner chairs meeting on removing obstacles in Sorezai Housing Scheme development

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jun, 2026) A meeting regarding the PHA-F Residencia Sorezai Housing Scheme was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riyaz Khan Mehsud.

The Commissioner Office on Sunday informed the meeting was attended by officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority, Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation, district administration, relevant government departments, elected representatives and affectees.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the current status of the project, ongoing development activities and the challenges hindering its progress. Officials briefed the participants that development work is underway in various sections of the scheme, while efforts are being made to resolve land-related disputes and other obstacles affecting certain areas.

Affectees and local representatives presented their concerns and suggestions, which were heard in detail.

Relevant authorities assured participants that all genuine concerns would be addressed and that every possible support would be provided to resolve outstanding issues.

Addressing the meeting, Commissioner Peshawar Division Riyaz Khan Mehsud said Sorezai Housing Scheme is an important public welfare project that will contribute to regional development, create employment opportunities and promote modern urban facilities in the area. He directed all departments concerned to maintain continuous engagement with affectees and ensure that their legitimate demands are resolved on a priority basis.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants agreed to take immediate steps to remove obstacles delaying the project, further accelerate development work and maintain effective coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the scheme is completed at the earliest possible date.
