Commissioner chairs meeting regarding implementation of Master Plan for Naushahro Feroze Town

NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division, Shahmir Khan Bhutto, chaired a significant meeting regarding implementation of Master Plan for Naushahro Feroze Town, at the Commissioner's Office, committee room, on Wednesday.

The meeting reviewed in detail the progress on Naushahro Feroze Town Master Plan, urban development initiatives, provision of basic facilities, roads, drainage system, supply of clean drinking water, traffic management, and other development-related matters.

Assistant Director Planning and Development, Ali Murad Abro and consultant, Syed Babar Ali Shah briefed the participants on various projects included in the Naushahro Feroze Town Master Plan and highlighted the challenges being faced along with proposed recommendations.

Addressing the meeting, Commissioner Shahmir Khan Bhutto said that effective implementation of the Master Plan would help resolve urban issues, ensure organized urban development, and provide better facilities to public. He directed all concerned departments to strengthen mutual coordination and ensure timely implementation of all projects.

He said that a letter would be written to higher authorities informing them that Naushahro Feroze has now been upgraded from a town Committee to a Town Municipal Committee.

In view of this development, the Master Plan should be revised to accommodate the growing population and ensure improved civic facilities for residents.

Commissioner also directed the deputy commissioner to constitute separate committees under the TORs comprising officers from Health, education, Public Health Engineering, Works and Services, and other relevant departments. He instructed that all committees should hold meetings while keeping the Master Plan in view and submit their reports in next meeting.

He emphasized that all departments included in the Master Plan should submit progressive reports regarding their respective sectors. Meeting also decided that all concerned departments would complete and submit their proposals and working papers at the earliest so that development initiatives under the Master Plan could be advanced effectively.

Among those who attended the meeting were Additional Commissioner-II Syed Ammar Hussain, Deputy Commissioner Naushahro Feroze Muhammad Arsalan Saleem, Chairman Town Municipal Committee Kashif Memon, Regional Director Abdul Aleem, and officers from PH&E, Highways, Buildings, Local Government, Planning and Housing, and other relevant departments.
