Commissioner directs for foolproof Eid-ul-Azha arrangements across Rawalpindi division

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Amir Khattak on Thursday directed the relevant departments to ensure the timely disposal of sacrificial animal waste and the provision of the best possible facilities to citizens during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.

Presiding over a meeting at the Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi office to review Eid arrangements, he instructed the authorities concerned to ensure exemplary cleanliness, security and traffic management measures during the Eid days.

The commissioner also directed officials to ensure the timely payment of salaries to all government employees and sanitary workers before Eid “at all costs” so that they could fully participate in Eid celebrations.

Engineer Amir Khattak further instructed all district administration officials to establish round-the-clock control rooms for the immediate redress2 of public complaints during the holidays.

He said relevant officers and staff must remain present in the control rooms at all times to ensure prompt response and effective coordination.

Additional Commissioner Coordination, Zenia Humayun, Director Local Government, Sibtain Kazmi and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.
