Commissioner directs improving healthcare facilities in Jaranwala

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) Divisional Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen directed to improve healthcare facilities in Jaranwala while visiting Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital here.

During his visit, he inspected various wards and expressed dismay over non-compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding timely change of bed sheets.

She directed the Assistant Commissioner and Medical Superintendent to ensure adherence to color-coded schedules through the concerned contractor.

She interacted with patients, inquired about availability of medicines and reviewed cleanliness and attendance of doctors.

Talking to attendants, she said that a District Headquarters Hospital had been proposed for the next fiscal year to cater to increasing patient load in Jaranwala, which would significantly improve healthcare facilities in the area.

She also visited the under-construction wastewater treatment plant and got briefing about its progress under Punjab Development Program.

She said that the plant would benefit a large population and directed authorities to link remaining areas with this facility.

During her visit, she inspected the construction of the new Assistant Commissioner office, directing that pace and quality of work be ensured.

She also visited Jinnah Park, reviewed available recreational facilities and stressed further measures to transform it into a fully functional public recreational space.
