Commissioner Faisalabad visits Chiniot, reviews development projects health facilities

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Faisalabad Division Mussarat Jabeen paid her first visit to Chiniot district on April 24 to implement Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision of providing basic amenities to citizens.

She presided over a performance review meeting of district departments at the DC’s Office and inspected several development projects across the district.

According to APP correspondent, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan gave a detailed briefing on ongoing development projects, cleanliness, revenue, and other district matters. Commissioner Jabeen directed officials to maintain high standards of cleanliness in both urban and rural areas, stress strict monitoring of staff attendance, and ensure containers are placed according to ground realities.

She emphasized resolving public issues proactively and avoiding unnecessary delays for citizens at government offices.

The Commissioner ordered timely completion of two beautification projects and stressed transparency in all development works. Officials informed her that work is underway on 18 ADP schemes, 21 new ADP schemes, and 37 schemes proposed by assembly members.

She directed officers to remain on-site to monitor progress, survey the functioning of filtration plants, and take effective steps to free government land from encroachment mafias.

She also stressed full attention to distribution cases under the Plus Project and recoveries in various areas. Later, Commissioner Jabeen inaugurated a waterfall built on the outer wall of a cemetery on Sargodha Road and planted a sapling in the adjacent green area.

She praised the beautification efforts, saying such initiatives become a center of attention for citizens.

She also inspected the ongoing furniture market beautification project, which includes uniform-style sheds, a parking site, pedestrian track, entry gate, and storm water drain outside shops, directing officials to complete it within the stipulated time.

Under the Chief Minister’s Healthy Punjab Program, the Commissioner and DC Ayesha Rizwan visited District Headquarters Hospital. They inspected the dialysis ward, general ward, emergency, and thalassemia center, interacted with patients, and reviewed medicine availability and treatment quality.

She checked cleanliness, doctor attendance, and medicine supply in the store, and directed the installation of tough tiles outside the dialysis center. Commissioner Jabeen also reviewed the new hospital building and assessed the working condition of medical machinery, expressing satisfaction with the facilities.

She said providing quality and modern medical services remains the top priority in line with the Punjab government’s vision. The visit included inspections of the under-construction DC Complex, DHQ, and Health and Population Complex on Jhumra Road, where she urged expediting construction work.She also visited Quaid-e-Azam Park to review recreational facilities. Finally, highway authorities briefed her on the progress of construction and repair of Chiniot-Faisalabad Road and other highways in the district.
