Commissioner Hazara orders strict action to ensure 100% Polio campaign results in UC Chamhad

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Hazara Division, Fayaz Ali Shah, has directed authorities to ensure 100 percent coverage in the ongoing anti-polio campaign, warning that any negligence will not be tolerated.

He issued these instructions while chairing a high-level meeting to review the performance of Union Council Chamd, which has shown consistently weak results in recent polio drives. The meeting was attended by concerned officials and representatives of polio teams.

Expressing serious concern over the situation, the Commissioner emphasized strict implementation of all campaign-related activities and made it clear that those responsible for poor performance would face strict action.

He directed the District Health Officer to ensure provision of all necessary resources and facilities to polio teams so that the campaign can be carried out in an effective and organized manner.

The District Emergency Operations Center (DEOC) was also instructed to issue formal staff nominations through the education Department and deploy the most capable area in-charges and frontline workers.

During the meeting, it was decided that all District Emergency Operations Centers would ensure 100 percent completion of micro-plans to achieve high-quality execution of the campaign.

The Commissioner further instructed that any issues faced by field staff during the campaign must be immediately reported to the district control room for timely resolution.

Reaffirming his commitment, Fayaz Ali Shah stated that this time, the performance of the polio campaign in Union Council Chamd will be significantly improved and the 100 percent target will be achieved.
