Commissioner inaugurates awareness camp for Eid-ul-Azha cleaning operation:

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Tuesday inaugurated an awareness camp established by the Suthra Punjab Authority at Chungi No. 9 to ensure exemplary cleanliness arrangements during the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha.

Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Husnain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, the Commissioner distributed awareness pamphlets and biodegradable waste bags among citizens to promote the proper disposal of animal offal.

Earlier, the Commissioner visited the Suthra Punjab control room where he was briefed on the waste collection plan, machinery deployment, and staff duties scheduled for the three days of Eid-ul-Azha.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali stated that the cleanliness operation would be digitally monitored across the division to ensure timely disposal of waste in line with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s "Suthra Punjab" vision.

He warned that strict legal action and fines would be imposed on individuals found dumping animal remains in open spaces or sewage drains.

He further directed all departments to work in complete coordination, stressing that no negligence would be tolerated in providing a clean environment to the public.

The ceremony was also attended by Managing Director Suthra Punjab Authority Rana Muhammad Abubakar, assistant commissioners, and other divisional officers.
