Commissioner inaugurates Multani Corner

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2026) Commissioner Aamir Karim Khan inaugurated “Multani Corner,” a newly developed public space aimed at enhancing the city’s beauty and cultural identity.

He said the facility was constructed at a cost of Rs3.2 million on an area of over two marlas. The site, previously lying vacant and used as a dumping spot, had become an eyesore.

The commissioner directed the Municipal Corporation to transform the area into a functional and aesthetically pleasing public space.

He added that the design of Multani Corner reflects the rich cultural heritage of Multan. Architectural elements inspired by shrines, traditional pottery, and local civilization have been prominently featured.

Local artisans contributed to the project through intricate handmade artwork and decorative patterns, giving the site a distinct cultural touch.

Aamir Karim Khan said the initiative would serve as a new symbol of the city’s identity, offering residents a clean and attractive place to sit and relax. He maintained that the project had significantly improved the overall appearance of the area.

Citizens welcomed the initiative, expressing appreciation for the transformation. Many visited the site, took photographs, and praised the effort to beautify the city.
