Commissioner inspects progress of ongoing anti-polio campaign

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah on Wednesday visited various areas of the district to review the ongoing anti-polio vaccination campaign and assess ground level implementation.

During the visit, the commissioner inspected the attendance of polio teams, checked tally sheets and other official records and received detailed briefings from field staff regarding campaign performance. He also interacted with the frontline health workers and inquired about operational challenges directing immediate resolution of identified issues.

He also met with the parents refusing vaccination and personally briefed them on the importance of polio immunization and successfully persuaded them to vaccinate their children.

Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner stressed that the complete eradication of polio requires collective responsibility from all segments of society. He urged the citizens to fully cooperate with the vaccination teams and ensure that all children under the age of five receive polio drops that are vital to protect them from lifelong disability.
