Commissioner inspects security arrangements in Hungu District

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah on Tuesday visited Hangu district to review security and administrative arrangements for the Muharram-ul-Haram directing the authorities to ensure foolproof and exemplary measures across the district.

The Commissioner who was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Hangu Basir Ali Rahman and Additional Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan inspected several Imambargahs including Pas Kale, Qaumi, Raisan and Ibrahimzai.

He reviewed procession routes, security checkpoints and sensitive locations in detail. He also examined arrangements for electricity supply, drinking water,

street lighting, sanitation and other civic facilities and directed relevant departments to complete all preparations well in time.

Officials briefed the commissioner that comprehensive measures had been put in place including security deployment, traffic management, monitoring systems, emergency medical response and coordination through a central control room.

The commissioner also visited the district control room and appreciated the monitoring and rapid response mechanisms stressing the need for stronger inter-agency coordination.

Later, the Commissioner met local elders and community leaders, who assured full cooperation with the administration and law enforcement agencies to maintain peace, law and order and promote interfaith harmony during Muharram.
