PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah has directed the authorities to take immediate action on public complaints raised during an E-Open Court, warning that negligence or delays in resolving citizens’ issues would not be tolerated.
The Online and Telephonic session brought together deputy commissioners, district police officers and officials from Kohat, Karak, Hangu, Kurram and Orakzai, while residents directly presented their grievances to the Commissioner, said a press release.
Citizens highlighted a range of issues, including delays in recruitment interviews in Kurram district, shortages of medical officers and teachers, inactive health facilities, lack of girls’ schools and colleges, water and gas shortages, prolonged electricity outages, deteriorating roads, sanitation and sewerage problems, installation of streetlights, closure of the Thall-Parachinar Road, restoration of 3g and 4g services in Orakzai and Kurram, law and order concerns and implementation of court decisions.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Shah directed the relevant Deputy Commissioners, Police officials and departments to address the complaints within a fixed timeframe and submit progress reports.
He said providing basic services to the public remained the government’s top priority and warned that officials showing negligence in resolving genuine complaints would face action.
He added that the E-Open Court initiative aimed to provide citizens with an effective and accessible platform to convey their concerns directly to the senior administration from their homes, ensuring timely redress of public issues.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner, accompanied by representatives of the World Health Organization, visited different areas of Kohat on the third day of polio vaccination drived and reviewed measures.
During the visit, he persuaded several hesitant parents to allow their children to receive polio drops.
Shah urged the public to fully cooperate with government efforts to eradicate Polio from the country.
