Commissioner orders fast-track completion of development projects

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Aamir Karim Khan, Commissioner of Multan Division, expressed displeasure over slow pace in development projects and directed relevant officers to complete ongoing schemes within the stipulated time.

Addressing to a meeting arranged here Thursday, the commissioner stated that unnecessary delays in public welfare projects will not be tolerated.

While reviewing projects under the Annual Development Programme 2025–26, the Commissioner conducted a detailed inspection of progress on various schemes including the Nadra Abad Flyover, Shujaabad Road, the dual carriageway from Syedan Wala Bypass to Head Muhammad Wala, Multan to Vehari Road and the MDA to Lodhi Colony Road.

He ordered that long-pending projects be completed immediately.

During the meeting, projects of WASA, Higher education, Health, sports, Local Government, Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Transport sectors were also reviewed.

The Commissioner directed officials to accelerate the pace of work and ensure timely utilisation of funds.

Reviewing progress on Nishtar Hospital, the Mother and Child Hospital and other key development schemes, he said negligence or delay in public welfare projects is unacceptable. Officers were instructed to present clear timelines and practical progress reports for every project in the next meeting.
