Commissioner praises sanitation staff for keeping Faisalabad clean on Eid

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Divisional Commissioner(DC),Musarrat Jabeen and Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir on Wednesday remained active in the field to monitor Eidul Azha cleanliness arrangements under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister(CM),Maryam Nawaz aimed at ensuring a clean and hygienic environment across Faisalabad.

The officials visited Station Chowk and Tariqabad, where they reviewed sanitation operations and interacted with waste workers deployed in the field despite harsh weather conditions.

The divisional commissioner distributed sweets among sanitation workers and lauded their efforts, terming them “frontline contributors” in maintaining cleanliness during Eid-ul-Azha.

She said waste workers were performing a vital public service by keeping the city clean during the festive days and acknowledged their dedication.

Later,she visited a cleanliness awareness camp established by the Suthra Punjab, where she interacted with citizens and sought feedback regarding sanitation arrangements across different localities.

During the visit,citizens expressed satisfaction over the ongoing cleanliness operations and appreciated the visible presence of field teams.

The divisional commissioner also inspected the Suthra Punjab control room, reviewing complaint registers and monitoring the status of grievance redressal mechanisms.

She checked operational records and reviewed real-time monitoring systems being used to track sanitation activities across the district.

She also contacted complainants whose issues had been resolved to obtain feedback on service delivery, with citizens expressing satisfaction over timely response by authorities.

Musarrat Jabeen appreciated the performance of sanitation departments and directed officials to maintain the same pace of work throughout the Eid holidays.

She said cleanliness arrangements during Eid-ul-Azha were satisfactory and in line with public expectations, adding that continuous monitoring was essential to sustain service delivery standards.

Officials of Suthra Punjab Agency informed her that over 11,000 sanitation workers and more than 2,500 vehicles and machinery units had been deployed across Faisalabad for the Eid cleanliness operation.

Later,accompanied by the deputy commissioner, she visited District Jail and Allied Hospital-I,where they met inmates and patients,extended Eid greetings and prayed for their early recovery.

They said Eid-ul-Azha carries a message of sacrifice,compassion and humanity,urging citizens to reflect these values in society.
