Commissioner reviewed petroleum product availability in Sahiwal

CHICHAWATNI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail chaired a meeting on Sunday to review petroleum product availability in the division, discussed availability, prices, and measurement systems of petroleum products. Dr. Tufail noted global price fluctuations and supply issues are affecting the local market.

According to APP correspondent, Dr. Tufail clarified that no additional burden will be placed on the public despite global trends. He directed strict action against those violating petrol price controls or reducing measurements.

Deputy Commissioners briefed on petroleum product supplies in their districts.

Transport officials assured support to the government during the current situation. RPO Rana Muhammad Ayaz Saleem emphasized public convenience and directed no unnecessary transport fare hikes. Exploitation of the public won't be tolerated.

The meeting decided on continuous monitoring of petrol pumps and transport to ensure public relief and implement government orders.
