QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Quetta Division Shahzaib Khan Kakar chaired a meeting to review the progress of the N-25 National Highway project and address obstacles hindering its completion.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, Director Development Quetta Division Zahoor Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Chaman Mansoor Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Pishin, officials of the National Highway Authority (NHA), and concerned engineers.

NHA officials briefed the commissioner that the Quetta-to-Chaman section of the project will be completed within two years, with the required funds already released. They noted that land settlement issues in Pishin need urgent resolution to avoid delays, while in Quetta, Section-4 notification for land acquisition has already been issued, which will accelerate the construction process.

Addressing the meeting, Commissioner Shahzaib Kakar said the N-25 project is of vital importance for the province. He emphasized that its completion will not only improve connectivity between Quetta, Pishin, Chaman, and other cities but also help regulate traffic flow and reduce accidents.

He directed all departments to immediately remove administrative and technical hurdles and instructed deputy commissioners to fully cooperate with NHA officials to resolve land acquisition and settlement issues within the stipulated timeframe.

It was decided that monthly review meetings will be held to monitor the progress of the project and ensure timely completion of this nationally significant initiative.
