Commissioner reviews drainage situation in Sargodha after recent rains

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali conducted a detailed visit of Sargodha city on Wednesday to review the drainage situation following recent rainfall.

During the visit, the Commissioner inspected various localities, low-lying areas, and major roads to assess arrangements for the disposal of rainwater, as per press release issued here.

Managing Director WASA Abu Bakar Imran briefed him on the measures taken for drainage, including the deployment of machinery and staff.

The commissioner directed authorities to ensure the timely drainage of rainwater and stressed that no area should be left waterlogged.

He instructed concerned officials to remain on high alert, stay present in the field, and continuously monitor the situation.

Stressing public relief as a top priority, he warned that any negligence or lapse in duty would not be tolerated.
