PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mehsud, Tuesday, visited board Bazaar and reviewed measures to remove encroachments and ensure smooth flow of traffic.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Sanaullah, Director General of the Capital Metropolitan Government Qadir Nasir, Assistant Commissioner Town Azeemullah Mehsud and officials from PDA and Town-III.
He inspected samples of iron barriers to be installed on footpaths in front of shops and directed the concerned authorities to complete their installation timely.
The commissioner said that the step would ensure the permanent removal of illegal encroachments, restore footpaths for pedestrians and keep both sides of the road open for smooth traffic flow.
He further instructed to introduce organized and uniform system for street vendors operating in Board Bazaar including introduction of standardized carts with uniform design, color and size.
The commissioner ordered the immediate registration of all cart vendors and directed that a complete report be submitted within one week. He stressed that all measures must be implemented within the given timeframe to provide a long-term solution to public issues.
