Commissioner reviews progress of Bahawalnagar General Hospital, Medical College

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) A review meeting on the progress of Bahawalnagar General Hospital and the Medical College was held

under the chairmanship of Bahawalpur Division Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia at his office committee room.

Relevant officials attended the meeting, while Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhawn

participated via video link.

During the session, the Commissioner conducted a detailed review of both major development projects and received briefings on ongoing construction and administrative matters.

He directed that the main ward and OPD (Outpatient Department) of Bahawalnagar General Hospital be made operational at the earliest to ensure immediate provision of healthcare services to patients. He further instructed that all completed sections of the hospital be opened to the public without delay so that citizens can benefit from timely and improved medical care.

Emphasizing strict adherence to timelines, the commissioner made it clear that no delays in project completion would be tolerated and that all work must be finalized within the stipulated schedule.

The commissioner also stressed the urgent completion of the hospital’s approach road, noting that patients and their attendants should not face any difficulty in accessing the facility.

On the occasion, Superintencdent Enigineer Buildings Muhammad Faisal Sandhu, Director Development Ismatullah, and Deputy Director Technical Waqas Muhammad Din provided a detailed briefing on the progress of the projects and highlighted key challenges.
