Commissioner reviews progress of LDP

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) Commissioner Marryam Khan chaired a divisional meeting attended by deputy commissioners of

four districts of Lahore Division, where progress on the Lahore Development Programme (LDP) was

reviewed in detail.

The commissioner was briefed that the first phase of the Lahore Development Plan has been completed, with work of WASA and the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore also finalized.

She was further informed that in the second phase, development work is ongoing in 8,780 streets, out of which 4,741 streets have been completed so far, while work continues on the remaining areas.

Chairing the meeting, Commissioner Marryam Khan directed the deputy commissioners to ensure completion of the second phase within the stipulated timeline, stressing that deadlines must be strictly followed.

She instructed that daily monitoring of fuel stock, supply, and distribution data be ensured at the district level.

She further said that deputy commissioners should formulate a coordinated mechanism for incoming agencies and authorities at the district level and submit suggestions to enhance administrative capacity.

The meeting was attended by DC Lahore Ali Ejaz, Additional Commissioner Hamid Mehmood Malhi, MD WASA Ghufran Ahmed, DC Sheikhupura Shahid Imran Marth, DC Nankana Rao Tasleem Akhtar, DC Kasur Asif Raza, Director Development Javed Chauhan, ACG Wajeeha Samreen and other officials.
