Commissioner reviews projects in Sargodha

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review progress

on urban development initiatives, beautification projects, sewerage management and public

recreational facilities across the city.

According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner's office here, the meeting focused on matters

related to the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA),

city beautification, parks rehabilitation, green belts and the ongoing PDP project

being executed by the WASA.

Officials also discussed challenges associated with the sewerage system and measures

required for improving civic infrastructure.

Managing Director PHA Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad and Managing Director WASA Abu Bakar

Imran briefed the meeting on the progress of ongoing projects, operational challenges

and future planning.

Addressing the meeting, the commissioner directed authorities to intensify efforts for enhancing

the city’s cleanliness and beautification.

He emphasized special attention to green belts and landscaping projects, while also calling for

the restoration and improvement of public parks to provide better recreational facilities for citizens.

The commissioner further instructed WASA officials to adopt immediate and effective measures for resolving sewerage-related issues and ensure timely completion of the PDP project in accordance with the approved timeline.
