Commissioner reviews public welfare initiatives,orders immediate improvement

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review progress on public welfare initiatives across Sargodha division,officials said.

According to a spokesperson,the session focused on the “Clean Punjab Program,”including deep cleaning drives,sanitation of streets,neighborhoods and graveyards,park rehabilitation and beautification of green belts.

Officials also reviewed the performance of price control magistrates and the availability and pricing of petroleum products, LPG and LNG.

The Commissioner directed timely repair of roads,restoration of streetlights,installation of zebra crossings and provision of other basic civic facilities.

He urged officials to complete all measures efficiently to maximize public relief.

Expressing concern over slow progress,Hafiz Shaukat Ali instructed officers to show visible improvement within two days. He warned that he would personally carry out surprise inspections across districts and tehsils and strict action would be taken against negligent staff.

Deputy Commissioners of Sargodha,Khushab,Mianwali and Bhakkar,along with heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.
