SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Sargodha Division, Hafiz Shaukat Ali, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, conducted a detailed visit to Tehsil Bhalwal to review public service delivery and progress on the “Suthra Punjab” campaign.
According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner's office here on Wednesday, Assistant Commissioner Mudassar Mumtaz, along with officials from relevant departments including waste management and WASA, were also present during the visit.
The visit began in Chak 23 North and Chak 22 North, where the Commissioner and DC interacted with local residents and held an open forum (“Maryam Nawaz Baithak”) to listen to public concerns. Key issues such as sanitation, drainage, and availability of basic facilities were reviewed.
The officials also inspected a community-funded sports ground under development in Chak 23 North and directed the District Officer Sports to ensure construction of a boundary wall.
Later, the administrative officers toured Bhalwal city, assessing cleanliness conditions, drainage systems, and ongoing efforts under the Suthra Punjab initiative.
On-the-spot instructions were issued to address citizens’ complaints.
The Commissioner and DC also paid a surprise visit to the matriculation examination center at Government Boys High school Bhalwal. They reviewed the examination environment, facilities provided to students, and the performance of the teaching staff.
During a visit to Government College Bhalwal, officials were informed that a tender worth Rs 86.7 million has been issued for the renovation and expansion of the college building.
Earlier, the delegation inspected Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Bhalwal, reviewing availability of medicines, quality of healthcare services, performance of medical staff, and cleanliness standards.
The Commissioner directed hospital administration to ensure provision of timely and quality medical care to patients.
They later inspected the Assistant Commissioner’s office as part of the overall administrative review.
The Commissioner emphasized that all departments must take practical steps in line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab to improve public service delivery and ensure better facilities for citizens at both urban and rural levels.
