Commissioner SBA, BISE Chairman for ensuring transparent,fair conduct of annual examinations

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division, Shahmeer Khan Bhutto, DIG Police Faisal Bashir Memon and Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Shaheed Benazirabad, Dr. Asif Ali Memon, held a media briefing at the Commissioner Office committee room regarding arrangements to ensure transparent and fair conduct of annual examinations for 11th and 12th classes starting from April 21 under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Shaheed Benazirabad. Addressing the media, Commissioner said that fair examinations are essential for students’ future and the credibility of education system. He urged students to avoid unfair means and focus on merit. He said that on the special directives of Government of Sindh, the administrations of all Three district's in the Division are on high alert to prevent cheating during the examinations.

He said that Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of all talukas would conduct daily visits to examination centers. Strict action would be taken against students involved in cheating as well as school administrations facilitating such practices. mobile phones have been strictly banned at all examination centers, and students would be required to deposit their phones at designated collection points before entering the centers.

Commissioner added that Section 144 has been imposed at all examination centers to curb malpractice. He said that instructions have been issued to HESCO, SEPCO, and the Health Department to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply and availability of medical units during the examinations.

Speaking on the occasion, DIG Police Faisal Bashir Memon said that during the 9th and 10th class examinations, cases were registered against nine WhatsApp group administrators involved in cheating, and further action is underway against others involved. He added that CCTV cameras will be installed at examination centers and additional police personnel will be deployed to maintain law and order. He appealed parents to guide their children against cheating.

Chairman BISE, Dr. Asif Ali Memon, informed media that intermediate examinations will be held from April 21 to May 5. A total of 123 examination centers have been established, with 83,980 candidates expected to appear. He said vigilance teams have been formed by the board to prevent cheating, and actions will be carried out in coordination with Divisional and District Administration's. He further revealed that during the 9th and 10th class examinations, more than 1,900 candidates were booked in cheating cases. Representatives of the media assured full cooperation with the divisional and district administrations in efforts to curb cheating. Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Abdul Samad Nizamani, Additional Commissioner-II Syed Ammar Hussain, SSP Shaheed Benazirabad Sameer Noor Channa, Controller of Examinations Farooq Rashdi, Secretary Board Ahsan Elahi Bhutto, and journalists were also present on the occasion.
