LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) On the directions of the Chief Minister Punjab, Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan, along with Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Ijaz, visited Mian Munshi Trust Hospital Lahore to review patient care facilities, sanitation standards, and implementation of healthcare protocols.
During the visit, the Commissioner inspected the children’s ward, female wards, emergency unit, information and facilitation desks, and other hospital sections. The medical superintendent and hospital doctors briefed the visiting officers on service delivery, patient care arrangements, and operational matters.
The Commissioner reviewed cleanliness conditions, medical care protocols, and availability of free medicines in emergency and wards.
She also visited patients, inquired about treatment facilities, and sought feedback from attendants regarding the availability of medicines and behaviour of medical staff.
Directing the hospital administration, the Commissioner said that clear display boards regarding “free medicines for patients” must be installed at appropriate locations within the hospital. She further instructed that wheelchairs must remain available outside the emergency department at all times to facilitate patients.
She emphasized that maintaining cleanliness and ensuring uninterrupted provision of healthcare services is a top priority of the Punjab government and no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.
