Commissioner visits jail,inaugurated jail cafe

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Commissioner Shaukat Ali on Wednesday visited District Jail District Jail Shahpur on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha,where he met inmates,spent time with them and distributed Eid gifts.

During the visit,the commissioner reviewed facilities being provided by the jail administration and inquired about the well-being of prisoners inside the facility.

He also inaugurated a jail cafe aimed at providing basic eatables at controlled rates within the jail premises.

The jail superintendent,Assistant Commissioner Shahpur and other officials were present on the occasion.

Shaukat Ali inspected various sections of the jail and met inmates separately to listen to their issues and concerns.

Inmates expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and behaviour of the staff and thanked the commissioner for his visit and special attention on Eid-ul-Azha.
