Community policing drive gains momentum in Chiniot under CM’s vision

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) In line with the progressive and people-centric vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, authorities have intensified efforts to promote community policing, whereas training workshops are being conducted on the directives of IG Punjab Abdul Karim, furthermore focusing on improving public-police relations.

During the sessions, police personnel are being thoroughly trained to adopt positive and respectful attitudes towards citizens, meanwhile being briefed on official guidelines regarding public dealing. Senior police officers, religious scholars, and doctors are actively delivering lectures, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of ethical conduct and professional responsibilities.

Participants are being instructed to treat citizens visiting police stations with utmost kindness and dignity, moreover emphasizing the importance of responsible and courteous policing.

In this regard on Wednesday, while exclusively taking to APP, District Police Officer Chiniot, Dr. Naveed Atif, stated that transformation in police station culture will be ensured, therefore utilizing all available resources. He added that such training programs will continue consistently in phases, urging officers to make public service their core mission and uphold the honor and respect of every citizen.
