COMSATS Abbottabad celebrates 25 years of excellence

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) COMSATS University Abbottabad campus Monday hosted a grand ceremony to celebrate 25 years

of successful journey, highlighting its academic, research, and administrative achievements.

The event was attended by faculty, students, former teachers, retired employees, and distinguished guests.

Rector COMSATS Islamabad, Professor Dr. Raheel Qamar, was the special guest.

In his address, he emphasized the growing importance of skill-based education and praised the university’s

shift toward transparency through the Electronic Filing System (EFS).

Professor Dr. Shahid Khattak welcomed the guests and termed the campus’s 25-year journey a remarkable

success despite limited resources.

Former Directors Dr. Muhammad Maroof Shah and Dr. Arshad Parvez also addressed the gathering,

sharing memories and commending the role of faculty and administration.

Best Researcher Awards were distributed, retiring employees of 2025–26 were honored, and certificates were

awarded to participants of various training programs.

A commemorative shield was presented to the Rector, who later visited the Dhamtour campus to review development

projects.

The ceremony served both as a celebration of past achievements and the beginning of a new chapter of educational progress.
