COMSATS University Sahiwal honours semester position holders

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) The COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) Sahiwal Campus organised a certificate distribution ceremony for semester position-holders at the Junaid Zaidi Auditorium on Friday to celebrate and recognise the academic excellence of its top-performing students.

The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, Capt (retd) Sami Ullah Farooq, as the chief guest, while Shaukat Feroze Awan, Commandant Punjab Prisons Staff Training College attended the occasion as the guest of honour. In his welcome address, Campus Director Prof. Dr. Shahid Soroya congratulated the position holders on their outstanding academic achievements. He appreciated their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence, urging them to continue striving for higher goals and to contribute their knowledge and skills toward the betterment of society and the country.

Addressing the ceremony, Capt. (retd) Sami Ullah Farooq praised students for their excellent performance and highlighted that education, discipline, and perseverance are key pillars of success.

He also appreciated COMSATS University Islamabad Sahiwal Campus for maintaining a strong culture of academic excellence and producing talented graduates capable of contributing to national development.

Guest of Honor Shaukat Feroz Awan also congratulated the award recipients and encouraged them to stay focused on their goals, uphold strong ethical values, and continue pursuing excellence in all aspects of life.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates among 84 students who secured first position in their respective classes during the Fall 2025 semester. A group photograph of the distinguished guests with the award-winning students was also taken.

After the formal proceedings, a high tea was hosted, providing an opportunity for interaction among guests, faculty members, and students.

A large number of faculty members, administrative staff, and students also participated in the ceremony.
