A condolence reference was held at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Wednesday in memory of former president of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry and former Vice President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), late Sheikh Muhammad Aslam

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) A condolence reference was held at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Wednesday in memory of former president of Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry and former Vice President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), late Sheikh Muhammad Aslam.

Prominent members of business and industrial community from across the country attended the event and paid tribute to his commercial, organizational, and social services.

The condolence meeting was chaired by LCCI President Faheemur Rehman Saigol, while Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh and Vice President Khurram Lodhi were also present. The late Sheikh Muhammad Aslam’s son, Sheikh Ali, along with other family members, attended the gathering. Participants shared their memories and described him as a dignified, compassionate, and principled leader of the business community.

Among the attendees were SAARC Chamber Vice President Mian Anjum Nisar, former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Ali, former FPCCI president Nasir Hayat Magoon, former LCCI presidents Tahir Javed Malik and Muhammad Ali Mian, Shahzeb Akram, President Rawalpindi Chamber Usman Shaukat, Rana Nasir, Amir Rehman, Asim Anees, Ghulam Hussain, Khurram Maqsood, and a large number of business representatives. Former Senior Vice Presidents Zafar Mahmood Chaudhry and Khalid Usman, former Vice President Tahir Manzoor Chaudhry, Nadeem Qureshi, Shehbaz Aslam, Naveed Baloch, and members of the LCCI Executive Committee were also present.

In his address, LCCI President Faheemur Rehman Saigol said that Sheikh Muhammad Aslam was not only a successful industrialist and business leader but also a strong believer in institutional development. He added that the late leader brought dignity and seriousness to representative chamber politics and always prioritized the collective interests of the business community. He effectively raised the voice of traders before government authorities even during challenging times.

He said that under Sheikh Muhammad Aslam’s leadership, the Gujranwala Chamber achieved significant progress, and through the FPCCI platform, he rendered valuable services for the promotion of trade, industry, and exports in Pakistan. He noted that late leader’s politeness, patience, and positive leadership style serve as a guiding example for young business leaders. He prayed for the elevation of the departed soul’s ranks and strength for the bereaved family.

SAARC Chamber Vice President Mian Anjum Nisar said that Sheikh Muhammad Aslam was a wise, practical, and visionary leader who always promoted consensus and institutional harmony. He added that the late leader played an important role in uniting the business community and promoting regional trade, and his services would always be remembered. He also noted that humility and dignity were defining features of his personality, which earned him respect across all circles.

Former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Ali said that Sheikh Muhammad Aslam was a principled and upright personality who gave a positive direction to business leadership. He added that even in disagreement, the late leader upheld respect and courtesy, which distinguished him from others. Former FPCCI President Nasir Hayat Magoon stated that during his tenure, Sheikh Muhammad Aslam worked tirelessly to resolve traders’ issues and consistently upheld principled positions.

Other speakers also highlighted his contributions, stating that Sheikh Muhammad Aslam promoted respect, trust, and cooperation within the business community. They described him not only as a successful businessman but also as a caring friend and mentor who always encouraged young entrepreneurs.

The condolence reference concluded with a special prayer for the departed soul. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to follow his principles and continue working for unity within the business community and the strengthening of Pakistan’s economy.
