TARBELA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) The Conservator Wildlife, Hazara Circle, paid an official visit to Ghazi and Tarbela, where he held a meeting with the Environment Department of the Tarbela Hydropower Project to review ongoing environmental and conservation initiatives.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on ecological preservation and sustainable environmental practices in and around the project area. The Conservator emphasized the importance of restoring natural habitats and directed the concerned officials to ensure plantation of indigenous plant species in the watershed areas of Tarbela Dam.

He noted that the use of native species would not only strengthen the local ecosystem but also help in soil conservation and biodiversity protection.

Later, the conservator visited the Jhari Kass Wildlife Check Post, where he inspected the ongoing repair and maintenance work.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow pace of progress, he issued strict instructions to the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) and the concerned staff to accelerate the work.

He further stressed that while expediting the completion process, maintaining quality standards should remain a top priority. The conservator warned that any negligence or unnecessary delays would not be tolerated and directed the field staff to ensure timely and efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
