Cop martyred, 4 injured in attack on police team in Hangu

PESHAWAR: A police constable was martyred and four others were injured in an attack on a polio team in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district on Monday.

The incident took place on the first day of a week-long nationwide polio vaccination campaign taking place from April 13 to 19.

Police said the incident occurred in Hangu’s Thall tehsil when a police team was going to escort a polio team.

Police retaliated and killed two of the attackers. However, terrorists took the bodies from the scene.
